Brought to you by your favourite label Home-Lee, The Goodnight Society is a quirky, colourful sleepwear label for big dreamers and good nights. They sell a little piece of tangible happiness, disguised as sleepwear, pj’s, nighties … you know, the stuff you wear to bed. Unless you sleep naked, in which case, you’re probably in the wrong place.

All of their prints have a bold personality and a little story to tell about their quirky culture, the things we love about our lives, and the people we love in them.

How a pair of pj pants can help empower people and grow communities.

The Goodnight Society is a “profit for purpose” business. We exist for social good. Sure, we can’t stop famine or end world poverty, but we can make a big difference for communities and we believe that’s better than doing nothing at all. For those people, their world is changed. And that means everything.
This was one of the main reasons why The Goodnight Society was started in the first place – to create happiness and some good karma. There are many ways we’re striving to make sure this happens. We call this the really good bit about our business, and every time you buy something from The Goodnight Society you’re helping us to make these good things happen. Go you!

Home-Lee is really excited to partner with Belinda at Mammas Laef (pronounced Life)
Belinda works with women in Vanuatu to help alleviate period poverty. Together, they impact communities by providing cloth menstrual pads and menstrual health awareness.
Vanuatu is an incredible spot. Tropical beaches, coral reefs, fresh fish … it’s stunning! But life isn’t easy and period poverty is one of the challenges facing women there.
Belinda doesn’t want to just “donate and walk away”. She wants to make sure they are looked after for many generations to come. So the focus is on empowerment, giving this group of women a hand-up by not only providing an income, but to answer the need of rural living women of all ages.
The cloth pads are sewn and distributed by a group of women in Vanuatu, creating employment and building skills along the way. The aim is to create a sustainable enterprise in Vanuatu that can stand by itself, while continuing to support the local women affected by period poverty.
Mammas Laef are well on track to this goal, but the need is still great. Some women live very remotely and reaching them can often take several days.

This is where you come in.

The profits from every purchase from The Goodnight Society are helping Mammas Laef on a ‘project by project’ basis. We have provided uniforms and we help to provide cloth pads for these women, allowing girls to continue going to school, mothers to work and women to gain financial freedom. This support means the world to them. And that means everything to us.
